NoFi DIY meets roots electronica in the music of The Experimental Makeup.

The Experimental Makeup gave their first performance in September, 1999 for Band Wi[d]th 2000 at the Atomic Cafe in Munich, Germany. Recent New York performances include the +/- Musik Series at Bar XVI, Siberia, The Good/Bad Art Collective, The New Museum of Contemporary Art, and Cohan Leslie and Brown.

Recordings by The Experimental Makeup appear on illegal art #3, commercial ad hoc, (as Prof. Brown w/ DJ Jambox), the Iggy Pop compilation project from Snowdonia (Italy), a video soundtrack for artist Mary Ellen Carroll (Vienna), and on the CD accompanying the Song Poems exhibition.

Their debut CD XPRMNTLMKP (Sounds Okay) is reviewed in issue (#11) of The Sound Projector Music Magazine (U.K.).
